Beale Park Boat Show

We would like to send a big thank you to everyone who came and saw us on the Salterns Boats stand at Beale Park Boat Show this year. It was lovely to see faces, old and new and hear about your sailing exploits. Not to mention braving the extreme weather conditions that threatened to wash us into the lake on Sunday!

The Tela looked resplendent, dressed overall to celebrate her Centenary year and prompted great interest. The little Wagtail also proved popular with the beginner as well as those wanting a stable dinghy for messing about with the Grandchildren.

Several prospective buyers have since booked test sails here on our lake in Oxfordshire which, along with our offer of a free road trailer for every boat ordered during June, we hope will help them with their final decision to buy.

Much fun was also had by all, cheering on Gerard in our entry to the Cordless Canoe Challenge. The Yaksmith Bullet was created from one of Jeremy’s old canoes and propelled by two hand held power drills. Saturday’s heat was won in blazing sunshine but the semi and the final were run on Sunday in more inclement weather. Gerard came in a valiant second overall.
