The Tela is moulded in either a light blue or white hull as standard with a cream deck all in hand-laid GRP. The inside of the hull is finished with Gel Coat for improved durability and appearance. Throughout the hull there is additional reinforcement by way of web frames and bulkheads for increased stiffness. Integral buoyancy tanks are positioned forward and aft with the integrally moulded centreplate casing for added strength.
Inside she is fitted out with solid varnished mahogany coamings, rubbing bands, slatted side benches and thwarts, providing the perfect mix of beautiful wood without the excessive maintainance. Russian Pine bottom boards completes the traditional look, finished with a mat oil.
The Centreplate in hot dipped galvanised steel encapsulated in moulded housing, easily raised and lowered on its own tackle and is controlled with a jamb cleat mounted under the central thwart. Fitted throughout with traditional bronze deck fittings, and tufnol blocks, with all control lines in easy reach of the helmsman making her as easy to sail either single handed or with a crew.
The spars are all made by 'Collars' from vertical grain Oregon Pine and finished in a high VU resistant varnish with bronze mast bands and fittings. Stainless steel wire rigging and all running rigging in 3 strand mat polyester 'hemp' colour. The sails are supplied as standard in cream terylene, full cut in the traditional manner. The jib has bronze piston hanks . Built in bilge pump and 4' paddle mounted under the side decks.
